Eagles Complete Comeback Over Eutectics 76-70

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - Williams Baptist men's basketball were able to complete the comeback and get the victory over the UHSP Eutectics on Saturday afternoon, 76-70. With the victory, the Eagles move to 6-7; 4-3 in conference play.

The second half was better to the Eagles. They slowly started to chip away at the Eutectic's lead, until they tied the game at 48 off a Jaymes Jackson field goal with 10:28 left in the game. It went back-and-forth for a few points, until Jaylen Granger (SO/Chicago, Ill.) gave the Eagles a 54-52 lead after knocking down two free-throws with 8:46 remaining. The Eagles would lead the rest of the way.

Shackeel Butters (SR/Freeport, Bahamas) completed his sixth straight double-double and eighth this season with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

EJ Anderson (FR/Little Rock, Ark.) led the Eagles off the bench with 21 points. Daniel Cabassa (SR/Bronx, N.Y.) was also in double figures with 10, and Jaymes Jackson came off the bench to score his 11.

RJ Wright led all scorers with 26 points.
