Ten WBU Softball Players Honored as 2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes

Ten Williams Baptist University softball players have been named 2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes. These student-athletes have demonstrated exceptional commitment to both their academic pursuits and their athletic achievements.

The players that received the prestigious recognition were: Bailey Crump (Carlisle, Ark.); Madison Knight (Albany, La.); Krista Jones (Livingston, Texas); Kaydra Cole  (Paragould, Ark.); Maddie Wallace (Pangburn, Ark.); Megan Weis (Republic, Mo.); Tori Kierbach (Mount Olive, Ill.); Laila Byas (Cleveland, Miss.); Sara Pruitt (Halls, Tenn.); Kennedy Johnson (Forney, Texas)

Williams Baptist University takes great pride in supporting student-athletes in their pursuit of both academic and athletic success. The recognition of these softball players as 2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes is a testament to their dedication, discipline, and hard work.

The 2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes list showcases the accomplishments of 1,131 student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. To be eligible for nomination by their institution's head coach or sports information director, these student-athletes must also appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport and have completed at least one full year at the institution.
