NEVADA, Mo. - The Williams women's basketball team completed their season sweep of the Cottey College Comets with an 85-65 road win on Thursday night.
A big first quarter helped set the stage for the Lady Eagles as they outscored the Comets 24-13 in the first ten minutes. Cottey put up a fight in the second and third quarters, but ran out of gas in the fourth and the Lady Eagles easily outscored them 21-12.
Williams shot 42.7% from the field (32-75), 22.2% from the three-point line (2-9), and 67.9% from the free-throw line (19-28).
Kaylee Clark led all scorers with 26 points. Tristan Richards finished with 21 points, Nijah Moore had 17, and Italei Gray had 10.
Moore led the team on the boards with eight rebounds.

The Lady Eagles return to the SMC on Saturday, Feb. 11 as they host Central Baptist College on Senior Day. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the senior day festivities will take place right before the game.
