SEARCY, Ark. - The Williams Baptist baseball team fell to NCAA DII opponent Harding in a Tuesday game, 19-2.
It was not a good day on the baseball diamond for the Eagles, but they were able to score two runs. In the eighth inning, Jacob Brown (SR/Pinson, AL) hit a RBI sac fly to score Chas Bell (FR/Southaven, Ms.) from third. In the ninth, Garrison Keene (JR/New Madrid, Mo.) hit a RBI single to score Andrew Radcliff (JR/Corning, Ark.).
Brady Sterns (FR/Paragould, AR) got the start on the mound and pitched 2.0 innings and gave up five runs off six hits, walked one and struck out one. Alex O'Brien (FR/Marion, Ark.) pitched 0.2 innings and gave up six runs off five hits, walked one and struck out one. Blake Simmons (FR/Charleston, MO) pitched 1.1 innings and gave up two runs off three hits and struck out three. Caiden McFadden (JR/Paragould, Ark.) pitched 3.0 innings and gave up three runs of five hits, walked two and struck out one. Heath Taylor (JR/Wynne, Ark.) pitched 1.0 innings and gave up three runs off two hits and struck out one.
