WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams baseball team swept the Lincoln College Lynx in Saturday's doubleheader at Shell Field. The Eagles won game one 12-2 and game two 6-3. With the wins the Eagles are now 10-6 on the season.
Game One
The Eagles batted around in the first inning and plated four runs to take a lead that they never surrendered. They added a run in the second, third, and fourth innings, while plating five in the fifth.
Nicholas Jones led the team with 3 RBIs, while Wyatt LeDure, Sam Philley, and Palmer Campbell all had two, and Blake Simmons and Isaac Williams collected one each.
Spencer Burhman pitched a complete game for the Eagles, giving up two runs off four hits, walked no one and struck out 15, which is good for a new individual single-game record.
Game Two
The Eagles plated two in the first when Williams scored on a wild pitch and Nick Allred hit a RBI single. Williams added four runs in the fourth after Dezmond Cordova earned a walk with the bases-loaded, Jones hit a 2 RBI double, and Philley was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The Lynx tried to make things interesting late, scoring a run in the sixth and two in the seventh, but the Eagles were able to get away without much damage done.
Brady Sterns pitched 6.0 innings and gave up one run off three hits, walked two and struck out 12, which is now good for second in school history in a single-game. Eric Tolar pitched 1.0 inning of relief and gave up two runs, while walking one and striking out three.

The Eagles hit the road for a midweek doubleheader against Lane College in Jackson, Tenn. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
