Eagles Drop Doubleheader at Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Eagles baseball team dropped the first two game of their series at Columbia College on Friday, falling in game one 10-0 and 4-0 in game two. Williams is now 18-20 overall and 5-6 in conference play.

Game One

The first game of the day was not kind to the Eagles as they were held to only one hit in the game, coming off the bat of Luis Febres in the second inning. The Cougars plated six runs in the second, three in the fifth and one in the sixth. 

Noah Willingham got the start and pitched 4.0 innings. He allowed nine runs off eight hits, walked three and struck out one. Cash Forrester pitched 1.1 innings of relief and allowed one run off two hits. Jimmy Watson pitched 2/3 of an inning in relief. 

Game Two

The second game was slightly better for the Eagles in that they notched five hits in the game, but they weren't able to score any runs. The Cougars scored one run in the fourth and three runs in the seventh. 

Parker Jeffries got the start and pitched 6.1 innings. He allowed four runs off seven hits, walked two and struck out five. Cole Edwards pitched 1.2 innings of relief and allowed one hit while striking out two.

The Eagles and Cougars play the third game in their series tomorrow with the first pitch coming at noon.
