Forrester Named AMC Pitcher of the Week

Williams Baptist University senior pitcher Cash Forrester has been named the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week after his performance this past week against Hannibal-LaGrange and Lyon College that helped the Eagles secure a top-four seed in this week's AMC Championship tournament.

Forrester began the week by earning the win in a relief appearance against HGL in which he threw 5.2 innings of work and did not give up a run. He struck out six and walked just one in the appearance as WBU picked up a 10-2 victory.

On Saturday he picked up a five-inning save as Williams collected a 4-1 win over the Scots. In the outing the Newport, Ark., native gave up one run on one hit and had seven strikeouts in five innings of work. 

The Eagles will take on the winner of Harris-Stowe and Lyon on Tuesday, May 2 at 4 p.m. in the double-elimination AMC Championship tournament in O'Fallon, Mo.
