Mink, Aaron Named to AMC Baseball Preseason All-Conference Team

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (1/27/26) – Williams Baptist University baseball was picked to finish fifth in the American Midwest Conference preseason coaches' poll and Lawson Aaron and Gavin Mink were named to the AMC Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Aaron returns to the Eagles for his third season in the royal and white.  The Oakland, Tenn. native swung for a .366 batting average in 47 games for the Eagles last year.  He drove in 37 runs and was named to the AMC Gold Glove Team at third base.

Mink was also named to the AMC Gold Glove team last season at second base.  The Olive Branch, Miss. product posted a .331 AVG in 48 games with 25 RBI.  

The Eagles were picked to finish fifth in the AMC Preseason Coaches Poll after receiving 29 points in the poll.  WBU went 23-26 overall and 14-22 in AMC play last season.  

Williams opens the 2026 season with a four-game home series against Trinity Christian beginning Friday, Feb. 6. First pitch of the opener is scheduled for noon at Shell Field.
