Morrison Named AMC Player of the Week After Record-Setting Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (4/6/26) – Williams Baptist University baseball senior Skylar Morrison earned American Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors after a record-setting week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Morrison led the Eagles to a doubleheader sweep of Harris-Stowe on Friday by the final scores of 4-2 and 17-12, going 7-for-9 with two doubles, two home runs, and seven RBI.

Notably, with his two homers in the doubleheader, Morrison became the new career leader in home runs at WBU with 26 in his four-year career.

The Campbell, Mo. native also tied the record at WBU for the most hits in a single game in game two of the twinbill.  He went 5-for-6 with two doubles, a homer, and five RBI, as the Eagles took the high-scoring 17-12 win to complete the sweep.

Morrison is the second Eagle to win AMC weekly honors this season, following Mari Thomas in week six of the season.

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday, April 7, when they host Arkansas Baptist for a doubleheader.  The first pitch of Game 1 is set for noon at Shell Field.
