Eagles Basketball Falls At Central Baptist 86-77

CONWAY, Ark. - Another double-double from Shackeel Butters (SR/Freeport, Bahamas) wasn't enough for the Eagles to take down the Mustangs on Saturday afternoon as they fall 86-77. With the loss, they fall to 6-8; 4-4 in conference play.

A game that saw the Eagles playing from behind from the start, the Mustangs went into halftime with a 49-37 lead. The Eagles played much better in the second half and were able to get with two points, but that was it.

Butters led all scorers with his seventh straight and ninth total double-double with the season with 24 pts and 18 rebounds.

EJ Anderson (FR/Little Rock, Ark.) also had 19 pts and Jaylen Granger (SO/Chicago, Ill.) came off the bench to score 17.

The Eagles shot 40% from the field (24-60), 31.3% from three (5-16), and 72.7% from the free-throw line (24-33).
