Second Half Collapse Stuns Eagles Against Owls

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - A second half collapse by the Eagles gave William Woods a 78-71 victory on Thursday night. With the loss, the Eagles fall to 6-9; 4-5 in conference play.

The Eagles had a strong first half where they made six three pointers and were 11-13 from the free-throw line to work up a 43-37 halftime lead. However, a cold second half saw the lead slip away as the Eagles went 9-32 from the field.

For the game, the Eagles shot 36.7% from the field (22-60), 32% from the three-point line (8-25), and 76% from the free-throw line (19-25).

EJ Anderson (FR/Little Rock, Ark.) led the Eagles with 15 points, followed by Shackeel Butters (SR/Freeport, Bahamas) with 14 pts.

Butters led the Eagles on the boards with 8, followed by Cortez King (SR/Chicago, Ill.) with 7.

William Woods' Darius Yohe and Mackenzie Fessler led all scorers with 18.
