Washington, Wesson Sweep AMC Weekly Awards

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (11/24/25) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball players Jesse Washington and Deion Wesson were named the American Midwest Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Jesse Washington was named AMC Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after scoring 74 total points across wins against Principia and Moody Bible last week.  Washington posted back-to-back double-doubles in the victories, and scored a career high 43 points against Moody Bible on Saturday.

Wesson was named AMC Defensive Player of the Week after tallying eight steals, eight rebounds, and a block over two games.  Wesson also averaged 27.0 points over the two games on the offensive end.

Washington and Wesson both rank in the top five in scoring average in the country so far this season.  Washington is in second with 30.8 points per game, and Wesson is in fifth with 28.6 points per game.

Washington, Wesson, and the Eagles return to the floor on Tuesday, Nov. 25 on the road against Hendrix.  Tipoff against the Warriors is set for 5:30 p.m. from Conway, Ark.
