CONWAY, Ark. (11/25/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's basketball team moved to 6-0 on the season with an 88-63 victory over Hendrix on Tuesday evening inside Grove Gymnasium.

The Eagles' sixth straight win sets a new program record for best start. This is their first six-game win streak since 2015-16.

Deion Wesson led the team with 31 points on 13-of-24 from the field.  Jesse Washington posted his fourth consecutive double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.  Washington also led the team with seven assists.

As a unit, WBU shot 35-of-66 (53.0 percent) from the field, while holding Hendrix to 25-of-70 (36.0 percent) shooting on the night.  Williams owned the rebound battle 48-35, and scored 34 fast break points.

Williams dominated early, outscoring Hendrix 51-28 in the first half. Rico Quinton scored the opening basket, sparking a 19-6 run.

A jumper from Amarion Wilson ballooned the Eagles' lead to 29, but Hendrix cut the deficit to 23 to send WBU into the locker room up 51-28.

WBU continued to add on in the second half.  A pair of free throws from Christ Theodor gave Williams its largest lead of the night at 37 points with 2:17 left to play.  Hendrix ended the game on a 12-0 run, but the Warriors were unable to close the gap as WBU completed the road victory.

The 6-0 Eagles will return to the court on Saturday, Nov. 29, to play host to Rust.  Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. inside the Southerland-Mabee Center on the campus of Williams Baptist University.
