Washington, Luckey Sweep AMC Player of the Week Awards

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/16/26) – Williams Baptist University men's basketball swept American Midwest Conference Player of the Week honors as Jesse Washington earned the offensive award, while Aseem Luckey took the honor on the defensive side, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Jesse Washington earned AMC Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 35.5 points per game with two double-doubles to lead WBU to a 2-0 week.

Washington became the third Eagle in program history to drop 40 points in a game on Thursday in a 114-67 victory over Harris-Stowe.  The Jonesboro, Ark. native followed up with a 31-point effort alongside 10 rebounds to lead WBU to a 111-93 win over Mission on Saturday.

Aseem Luckey posted back-to-back double-doubles to anchor the Eagles defensively.  Luckey brought down a total of 31 rebounds with 16 on the defensive boards to lead WBU on the glass.

The Philadelphia, Pa. native brought down 15 boards alongside 17 points in a double-double effort on Thursday against Harris-Stowe, then turned around on Saturday with 16 rebounds and 21 points against Mission.

Williams returns to the home floor for its final home game of the 2025-26 season on Thursday, Feb. 19 against Central Baptist.  Tipoff against the Mustangs is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the Southerland-Mabee Center.
