Eagles Shoot Program-Low on Day Two to Win WBU Fall Invitational
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (9/17/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team collected its first team tournament victory since October of 2023 at the WBU Fall Invitational at Kennett Country Club this week.
Williams highlighted the event with a program-low team score on the second day of play, finishing nine under par. As a team, WBU posted a total score of 573 over two rounds, taking down Lyon by five strokes to take first place.
Jack Pierce took home the individual title after shooting a two-round total of 139, including a 68 in his second round. He is the first Eagle to take an individual tournament title since Tyler Parr in October of 2023.
Kaleb McClain and Curren Bounds finished tied for fifth place with a two-round sum of 144. McClain matched Pierce with a 68 in his second round, and Bounds also finished under par with a 71.
Grant Wilson carded a total of 146 to finish eighth in the individual leaderboard, and Ian Ellison finished 19th with a total of 151.
Next, the Eagles will travel to Batesville, Ark. to take part in the Lyon College Fall Invite on Sep. 29-30 at Eagle Mountain Golf Club.
