Bounds, Pierce Lead WBU in Fall Finale
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (10/15/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's golf team finished second at the CBC Fall Invite this week, held at Maumelle Country Club in Maumelle, Ark., behind strong performances from Curren Bounds and Jack Pierce.
Bounds earned a runner-up finish on the individual leaderboard with a three-round total of 221. He led the tournament after the second round of play after turning in a three-under par 69.
Jack Pierce climbed five spots on the final day after carding a 72 in the third round, finishing third overall with a total score of 222.
Kaleb McClain placed ninth with a three-round score of 225, while Ian Ellison finished 19th with a 232 over 54 holes. Grant Wilson rounded out the team scoring with a 234 across his three rounds.
Competing as an individual, Cameron Jackson finished in 13th place. Jackson was in the top three after a strong opening round where he shot 71.
As a team, Williams posted a total score of 899. The Eagles finished just one stroke behind host Central Baptist, who claimed the team title.
The Eagles will now head into their mid-season break and return to action in the spring. WBU's spring schedule is currently to be announced.
