The Eagles started the game off on the right foot as Thayrone Cazeca scored off a pass from Alan Vilas Boas in the 15th minute. But then four minutes later, the Eagles brought down a Crusaders attacker inside the box, awarding them a PK, which they scored to tie the game.
It was a tight game for the rest of the half, but William Carey found a breakthrough just seconds before halftime to take a 2-1 lead. They added another goal to their lead in the 53rd minute.
The Eagles had three shots on the day, one from Cazeca, Jacobo Obradors, and Fernando Paya.
Alejandro Perez had seven saves in the game.
