WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams men's soccer team defeated the LSU-Alexandria Generals 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles and Generals battled it out in the first half with the Eagles having a couple of good chances to score, but they couldn't find the back of the net.
The second half continued much of the same way until the 74th minute when the Eagles scored. Gabriel Otero crossed the ball across the face of the goal and Jacobo Obradors fired home a shot past the keeper.
Williams finished with 13 shots and five on goal.
Alejandro Perez played the whole game in the net for the Eagles. He notched two saves in the game off two shots.

The Eagles travel to Henderson, Tenn., on Tuesday, Aug. 30 for a matchup against the Freed-Hardeman Lions. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
