WBU Soccer Opens AMC Play with Win Over Harris-Stowe

The Williams Baptist University men's soccer team opened up American Midwest Conference play with a 3-0 win over Harris-Stowe State University on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, Jacobo Obradors opened up scoring in the 68th minute assisted by Fernando Paya.  

Obradors would record an assist on the second goal of the afternoon, this time finding Joao Baretto for the finish to put the Eagles up by two.

WBU would add one more score from Arthur Ferreira (Lucas Belinello) to finish off scoring and seal the victory to start AMC play.

Rodrigo Pina played all 90 minutes in goal for the Eagles, recording six saves on six attempts to lock up his second clean sheet of the season.

The Eagles will look to make another statement next Saturday against #12 Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. at 2:30 PM.
