Eight Eagles Qualify For Nationals

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams swimming teams had eight swimmers qualify for NAIA Nationals based off of their performances in the pool this year. Nationals will be held on March 3-5 in Columbus, Ga. this year.

Five swimmers qualified for individual events this season. Szymon Gilzinski qualified in the 100 fly, 200 fly, and 200 individual medley. Joshua McClain qualified for the 100 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and 200 freestyle. Kaleb Shive qualified for the 100 back, 200 back, and 100 freestyle. Henry Vernon qualified for the 100 fly and 200 fly. Jordyn Minifie qualified for the 200 individual medley, 400 individual medley and 200 freestyle on the women's side. 

Four men's relay teams also qualified for nationals. Shive, Jonathan Santibanez, Gilzynski, and McClain swim the 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. McClain, Vernon, Micah Lawson, and Shive swim the 200 freestyle relay. Shive, Gilzynski, Hayden Vernon, and McClain swim the 400 freestyle relay.
