Wrestling Blows Out Lyon

Dominating Performance:

The third ranked Eagles from Williams Baptist College were not a friendly host to rival Lyon College on Thursday evening. WBC beat the Scots 46-7.

It started well for the Eagles as they received a forfeit in the 125 lb. division. Pierre Dowling (FR/Augusta, Ga. ) was the beneficiary of the forfeit and six points for WBC.

Two technical falls followed with Jaitlin Pitts (SO/Auburn, Ala.) and Tyler Fraley (JR/Freehold, N.J.) each gaining five points.

Patrick Grigsby (JR/Bentonville, Ark. ) earned maximum points with another Lyon forfeit.

Following him, Zach Revier (JR/Bold, Minn. ) pinned his man to earn maximum points and extend WBC's lead to 28-0.

Lyon first victory came in the 165 lb. division. Connor Webber won by decision.

Jeffrey Haley (JR/Quincy, Ill. ) got the Eagles back on track by winning via fall, and extending the lead to 34-4.

Tyler Dibert (JR/Imler, Penn. ) won his division via forfeit.

Lyon's only other victory came in the 197 lb. division by Troy Mercer. This cut the WBC lead down to 40-7.

The heavyweight battle was won by Roger Moe (JR/Coppell, Texas) who pinned his guy 1:33 into the final match of the day.

This gave the Eagles the 46-7 blowout victory.
