FRALEY NAMED AMC WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

ST. LOUIS – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced its Wrestler of the Week award for the week ending January 22, 2016. This week's winner of the Wrestler of the Week award is the third representative from the Williams Baptist College Eagles to earn the honor. Tyler Fraley (JR/Freehold, N.J.) of the Eagles earned the Wrestler of the Week award, announced by the AMC on Monday afternoon.

Fraley, a 141-pound junior from Freehold, N.J., posted a 6-0 record at the Missouri Valley Invitational, defeating four wrestlers ranked in the NAIA top-16 in their weight class. Fraley won twice during the week on falls, one coming 32 seconds into the match, and the other coming at 1:25. He also earned a win by technical fall, two by major decision, and one by decision. Fraley was voted the Outstanding Wrestler of the Event for his performance, as the Eagles finished eighth out of 32 teams.

Other Notable Performances

Dustin Miller – Lyon

Miller posted a 5-1 record at the Missouri Valley Invite, winning a pair of matches by fall, one by major decision, and two by decision. He finished sixth in the event in the 125-pound weight class.

The American Midwest Conference is a 13-school NAIA Division I conference with schools in Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, and Tennessee. It was chartered in 1986 as the Show-Me Collegiate Conference becoming the American Midwest Conference in 1994. The Conference sponsors 16 championships, eight each for men and women - baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's outdoor track & field, women's volleyball and men's wrestling.
