Wrestling Picks Up Dual Victory over HLGU

On Tuesday night, the (RV) Williams Baptist University wrestling team faced (RV) Hannibal-LaGrange University in an American Midwest Conference dual. The Eagles used three victories by fall, three forfeit victories and one decision victory to secure a 39-15 win over the Trojans.
Results:
Nicholas Souder made quick work in the 149 lb. weight class. Souder pinned his opponent in just 42 seconds to record six team points. Meanwhile, Maleek Caton took his opponent down in 2:25 in the 285 lb. class and Jaitlan Pitts earned a win by fall in 4:04, securing six points each for the Eagles.
Meanwhile, Ruben Whitney, Joshua Tyler and Joel Anguiano all earned victories via forfeit. This secured a total of 18 points for the team. AJ Bindner earned a 13-6 decision victory in the 157 lb. division and was able to earn three team points to bring the total to 39.

Next up, the team will travel to Marshall, Mo., to compete at the MoVal Duals hosted by Missouri Valley College. That tournament will take place on December 17 beginning at 10 a.m.
