The (RV) Williams Baptist University wrestling team improved to 3-1 in American Midwest Conference duals with a 31-24 victory over Missouri Baptist University on Thursday night. The Eagles used two wins by fall, as well as one major and one decision to go with two forfeit victories to earn 31 points.

Nicholas Souder won his 141 lb. bout by a 1:26 fall to earn the maximum team points for WBU. In the 165 lb. class, Kyle Lee won his match by fall in 1:51.

Meanwhile, Kole Meador earned a major decision with a 12-2 victory in the 174 lb. class, while Nicholas Drendel won a 12-11 decision in the 157 lb. division.

Additionally, the Eagles honored six seniors before the match. Kole Meador, C.J. Cara, Nicholas Drendel, Kyle Lee, Jaitlan Pitts and Chandler Patton all participated in the final home dual of their careers.

Next up, Williams travels to Clarksville, Ark. for a dual with University of the Ozarks on Feb. 5. A start time has yet to be announced for the match.
