Eagles Place Two At Patriot Open
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Nick Souder placed third and Sean Sesnan (SO/Watertown, TN) placed fourth this past weeked to the lead Williams Baptist at the Patriot Open. The tournament was held by the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky. on Saturday.
Souder finished in third place in the 149 lb. weight division. The junior received an opening round bye, but fell to his next opponent in a 5-3 decision in the Championship Round 2. He went on to win all of his matches in the consolation round: the second round by a 25-10 tech fall, the third round by a fall, the fourth round by a 10-5 decision, the fifth round by a fall, the consolation semifinal by a fall, and the third place match by a medical forfeit.
Sesnan finished in fourth place in the 125 lb. weight class. The sophomore won by a fall in his first match, and then lost in the quarterfinal round by a 9-0 major decision. He then went on to win his consolation round two match by a 9-5 decision and his consolation round 3 and semifinal matches by a fall. He fell in the third place match by a fall.

The Eagles are next in action at the Life University Open in Marietta, Ga. on Saturday, Nov. 14. The tournament is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
