Caldwell Tabbed AMC Pitcher of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/17/25) – Williams Baptist University sophomore Emberlin Caldwell was named the American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week after a strong showing against Blue Mountain Christian.

Caldwell got the start in game one against BMCU on Friday.  She went all seven innings with eight strikeouts and only two runs to take her second win of the season.

The Van Buren, Ark. native then made an appearance in relief in game two, pitching the final two innings with three strikeouts to shut down Blue Mountain's comeback attempt and collect her first save of the season.

Overall, Caldwell went nine innings with 11 strikeouts for a win and a save in the doubleheader sweep.

Caldwell and the Lady Eagles will return to the diamond on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at home against Hendrix.  First pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m. from the WBU Softball Field.
