Lady Eagles Land Seven on AMC All-Conference List

CONWAY, Ark. (4/28/25) – Seven Williams Baptist University softball players were named to American Midwest Conference All-Conference teams at the AMC softball postseason awards banquet in Conway, Ark. on Monday night.

Madyson Busselle, Emberlin Caldwell, Morgan Garner, and Natalia Watkins all earned First Team All-Conference honors.  Busselle finished third in the AMC with a .445 batting average and second in RBI's with 45 to earn her second consecutive first team honor.  Caldwell finished fourth in the league in ERA with a 1.93 and fourth in strikeouts with 110.

Morgan Garner finished third in the AMC in wins this season with 14 while boasting a 7th best 2.53 ERA across 19 starts.  Natalia Watkins led the AMC and broke the WBU school record for triples in a season with seven and finished with a .350 batting average.

Kaelyn Gooch and Kaylee Wolfe were each named to the AMC All-Conference Second Team.  Gooch led the Eagles with 14 steals with nine doubles and the second highest average on the team at .354.  Wolfe hit four homers and drove in 31 RBI on a .345 AVG.

Breann Thresher was named to the AMC All-Conference Third Team.  The utility player hit .350 and drove in 32 runs for WBU.

Madyson Busselle was named the AMC Gold Glove Award winner at shortstop.  The junior boasted a .967 fielding percentage in 152 total chances in the six-hole.  

Rounding out the awards, Busselle was also named to the AMC Champions of Character Team, an award designed to honor student-athletes who exemplify the NAIA's five core values of respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, integrity, and servant leadership.
