Williams Softball Unveils 2026 Slate

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (12/9/25) – Williams Baptist University softball head coach Jessica Nutt announced the 2026 schedule for the program on Tuesday afternoon, including 24 games at the WBU Softball Field on the campus of Williams Baptist University.

The Lady Eagles begin the 2026 campaign at home on Feb. 7 against Henderson State, before travelling to face Blue Mountain (Feb. 10), Jarvis Christian (Feb. 13), and Texas A&M-Texarkana (Feb. 14).

WBU will finish the month of February with an eight-game homestand against Bethel (Feb. 21), Evangel (Feb. 24), Missouri Valley (Feb. 27), and Tennessee Southern (Feb. 28).

The royal and white kick off March on the road for a return trip against Bethel (Mar. 2), then travel to Gulf Shores, Ala., for the Gulf Shores Invitational on Mar. 6-7.  The Lady Eagles return to Walnut Ridge to host Ecclesia (Mar. 14), then travel to Jackson, Tenn., to take on Lane College (Mar. 17).

American Midwest Conference play starts at the WBU Softball Field on Mar. 21, when Williams hosts Columbia. The team follows with a road swing to Central Baptist (Mar. 27) and Mission (Mar. 28). They close out March with an away game against Christian Brothers (Mar. 31).

Williams will begin April at home against Freed-Hardeman (Apr. 7) and Harris-Stowe (Apr. 10).  Senior Day festivities are planned for the final Saturday home date of the season on Apr. 11 against UHSP.

The Lady Eagles will finish up non-conference play on the road at Missouri Baptist (Apr. 14), then continue the road trip at Hannibal-LaGrange (Apr. 17) and Stephens (Apr. 18).  WBU will conclude the regular season at home against Crowley's Ridge (Apr. 21) and Cottey (Apr. 23).

The American Midwest Conference Tournament is scheduled to take place from Apr. 28 to May 1 at the Branson Rec Plex in Branson, Mo.

"I believe this is a schedule that will really challenge us to be a better team," said head coach Jessica Nutt.  "We have a great group with a lot of returners who are really bought into what we are trying to build here.  Now we have to finish what we started on the field."
