Busselle Earns AMC Player of the Week Honors

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (2/16/26) – Williams Baptist University softball senior Madyson Busselle was named American Midwest Conference Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to three wins on offense.

Busselle led the Eagles at the plate with a line of 8-for-18, three runs scored, two doubles, a triple, and four runs batted in.

One of Busselle's RBI came as an insurance run in WBU's 2-0 win over No. 22 Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday, giving the Eagles their first ranked win since 2019.

The Bald Knob, Ark. native drove in two runs in WBU's 8-1 win over Jarvis Christian on Friday, then drove in another run in the back half of the twinbill against the Bulldogs in a 15-4 Williams victory.

Busselle and the Lady Eagles return home on Saturday, Feb. 21 to host Bethel (TN) in a doubleheader.  First pitch against the Wildcats is set for 1 p.m. from the WBU Softball Field.
