Caldwell, Scott Receive AMC All-Tournament Nod

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (5/5/26)  – Emberlin Caldwell and Brooke Scott were named to the American Midwest Conference Softball All-Tournament Team, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Caldwell led the way for the Lady Eagles in the circle with a 1.88 ERA across three complete game efforts.  The Van Buren, Ark., native fanned 13 in 26.0 innings pitched.  Caldwell tossed 13.0 shutout innings in a 2-0 win in an elimination game against UHSP to keep WBU's hopes alive in the tournament.

Scott led the offense with a .389 AVG in four games played.  The Aurora, Colo., native racked up seven hits and drove in two runs in the tournament.

The Lady Eagles clinched an automatic bid to the NAIA Softball Opening Round after securing the AMC regular season title.  Williams will learn of its destination and opponent during the NAIA Softball Selection Show on Wednesday, May 6 at 5 p.m. on the NAIA YouTube page.
