WBU Softball Headed to Oklahoma City for NAIA Tournament Opening Round

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (5/6/26)  – The Williams Baptist University softball team will head to Oklahoma City for the NAIA Softball Tournament Opening Round on May 11-14, the NAIA announced during the 2026 Softball Selection Show on Wednesday night.

The Lady Eagles enter the Oklahoma City regional as a 5-seed with a 41-13 overall record.

Williams will take on No. 4 British Columbia in the first round of the double elimination bracket.

The regional will be hosted on the campus of Oklahoma City University.

WBU will make its fifth appearance in the NAIA Softball Tournament Opening Round and first since 2017.  The Lady Eagles secured an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the American Midwest Conference regular season title.

The winner of the regional bracket will advance to the NAIA Softball World Series on May 21-27 at South Commons Complex in Columbus, Ga.

The Lady Eagles are eyeing their first trip to the NAIA World Series since a top six finish in 2016.
