Foster Named NFCA NAIA Freshman of the Year Finalist

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (5/26/26)  – Williams Baptist University softball freshman Addison Foster was named as a finalist for the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NAIA Freshman of the Year award.

Foster was named to NFCA's NAIA Region I All-Region Team.  The Fort Smith, Ark., native set a new WBU record for home runs in a season with 15 alongside a .351 average, .626 slugging percentage, and 53 RBI's.

Foster was named AMC Freshman of the Year after leading WBU to a 41-15 record and the program's fifth American Midwest Conference championship.

Foster is one of six finalists for the NFCA NAIA Freshman of the Year award.  She is the first player from WBU to earn the honor.  

The NFCA will announce the winner of the national award on June 9.
