Lady Eagles Fall to Stephens in AMC Tournament

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Williams Baptist women's soccer team fell to the Stephens Stars 4-0 in the first round of the AMC Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles couldn't match the offensive power of the Stars, as Stephens has 12 shots on goal while Williams had four. Danielle Barstead (JR/Springfield, Mo.), Thaina Cavalcante, Karla Garcia (SR/Memphis, Tenn.), and Maryn Jones (SO/Berryville, Ark.) all had shots on goal for the Lady Eagles.

Paige Carlyle (SO/Brookland, Ark.) and Thayane Leal (SO/Contagem, Brazil) both spent time in the goal for Williams. Carlyle had six saves and allowed three goals, while Leal had two saves and allowed one.
