CONWAY, Ark. - The Williams women's soccer tam defeated the Central Baptist College Mustangs 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
Neither the Lady Eagles, nor the Mustangs had many shots on goal, as Williams outshot CBC 5(4) to 1(1). However, the Lady Eagles were able to find the back of the net in the 72nd minute. The Lady Eagles were awarded a penalty kick when Livvie Campbell was fouled inside the box. Thaina Cavalcante neatly slotted home the penalty kick and gave the Lady Eagles the win.
Paige Strode and Thayane Leal both split time in the goal for Williams. Strode collected one save in the win.

The Lady Eagles finish up the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 29 as they travel to Columbia, Mo. for a matchup against Stephens College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
