Larkins, Alvarado Sweep AMC Player of the Week Honors

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.  (8/25/25) – Williams Baptist University women's soccer teammates Neveah Larkins and Yajaira Alvarado claimed American Midwest Conference Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week Awards, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Larkins was named the AMC Defensive Player of the Week after earning her first win between the goalposts as an Eagle.  The Poplar Bluff, Mo. native converted all eight save attempts, including two in the final minute to secure a clean sheet against Evangel.

On the other side of the ball, Yajaira Alvarado posted a hat trick in her first game at WBU, scoring in the 20th, 58th, and 67th minute to power Williams to a 3-0 win.  The Jonesboro, Ark. native accounted for four of the Lady Eagles eight shots on goal.

Larkins, Alvarado, and the rest of the Lady Eagles will return to the pitch on Wednesday, Aug. 27 to face Missouri Baptist.  Kick-off from Spartan Field in St. Louis, Mo. is set for 2 p.m.
