Alvarado, Larkins Sweep AMC Weekly Awards for Second Consecutive Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.  (9/1/25) – Williams Baptist University women's soccer players Yajaira Alvarado and Neveah Larkins swept the American Midwest Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row, the league announced on Monday.

Alvarado was named AMC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals in WBU's 6-1 victory over Missouri Baptist on Wednesday.  Alvarado is second in the NAIA in goals with seven on the young season.

Larkins earned AMC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting 12 saves across two matches.  The Poplar Bluff, Mo. native also posted a shutout in WBU's 1-0 win over Hendrix on Friday to secure the Eagles third straight win.
