Lady Eagles Win Streak Snapped Against Texas A&M-Texarkana

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.  (9/1/25) – The Williams Baptist University women's soccer team fell to Texas A&M-Texarkana by the final score of 6-0 on Monday afternoon, snapping WBU's three-game win streak.

The Eagles were out-shot by TAMUT 30-5 in the contest.  Texarkana landed 23 shots on goal, while Williams only put two on target.

TAMUT got on the board early in the contest with a goal from Ava Axtle in the ninth minute.  WBU kept Texarkana off the board after that until halftime, going into the locker room down 1-0.

Texarkana was able to get five more goals on the board in the second half to run away with the contest, handing WBU its first loss of the 2025 season.

Nevaeh Larkins made 17 saves between the posts for WBU in 90 minutes.

The loss drops Williams to 3-1-0 on the season.  Next, the Lady Eagles will head on the road to McPherson, Kan. to take on Central Christian on Thursday, Sep. 4.  Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
