Christian, Johnson Named AMC Field Athletes of the Week

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (3/24/25) – Williams Baptist University track and field athletes Calista Christian and EJ Johnson were each selected as the American Midwest Conference Field Athletes of the Week for their performances in the Ouachita Invitational, the league announced on Monday.

Calista Christian was named the Field Athlete of the Week on the women's side.  Christian placed 9th in the Discus Throw with a mark of 30.21m and 10th in the Javelin with a mark of 22.97m.

EJ Johnson earned Field Athlete of the Week honors for the men after taking the gold medal in the high jump at the Ouachita Invitational.  Johnson set a new personal best mark of 1.82m, tying the third best mark in WBU history.

The Eagles will return to the track on Friday, Apr. 4 for the Joey Haines Invite in Cape Girardeau, Mo., hosted by Southeast Missouri State University.
