Lady Eagles Take Down Pioneers in Straight Sets

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams Baptist volleyball team defeated the Crowley's Ridge Pioneers in straight sets, 25-19, 25-22, and 25-22.

The first set was back and forth until the Lady Eagles went on a run to lead 17-12 and from there it wasn't close as the Lady Eagles won 25-19.

The second set was much of the same until it was tied at 15 and then the Lady Eagles went on a run to 23-17. The Pioneers would go on a run of their own, but the Lady Eagles were able to close it out and win 25-22.

In the final set, the Pioneers took the lead and pushed it to 19-13, but the Lady Eagles went on a run to take a 21-20 lead. They then went on to win the set 25-22.

Molly Henson (SO/Wynne, Ark.) led the Lady Eagles with 16 kills, Sydney Burgin (FR/Walnut Ridge, Ark.) had 18 assists, and Monica Guerrero (SR/Teague, Texas) had 22 digs.
