Lady Eagles Volleyball Picked Sixth in AMC Preseason Poll

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark.  (8/12/25) – The Williams Baptist University volleyball team was picked to finish sixth in the American Midwest Conference preseason coaches poll, the league announced Tuesday morning.

The Lady Eagles received 56 points in the poll to finish sixth, two points behind fifth-place Central Baptist.  Columbia was picked to win the league with 89 points in the poll and eight first-place votes, while Stephens finished second with 83 and two first-place votes.

WBU went 10-19 overall and 5-6 in AMC play a season ago, clinching a bid to the AMC tournament for the first time since 2020.

The Lady Eagles return key players in Faith Raymond, Hope Raymond, and Tinleigh Ruhman.  Ruhman was named a 2024 AMC All-Conference Honorable Mention after posting 156 kills and 57 total blocks in 27 matches.

Incoming freshmen Amber Kahler, Payton Bond, and Halie Sutton look to make an immediate impact under first-year head coach Justin Dee.

Williams will open the 2025 regular season inside the Southerland-Mabee Center against Freed-Hardeman.  The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
