WBU Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (7/23/26)  – The Williams Baptist University volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association 2026 Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.

The AVCA Team Academic Award is awarded to volleyball teams at the high school and collegiate levels to maintain a team GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale throughout the academic year.

"As we prepare for our 2026 season, it is with great pride that we reflect on our 2025 group of women," said WBU volleyball head coach Justin Dee.  "These women represented our program so well in the community, on campus, in the locker room, and in the classroom.  These ladies were amazing examples of 'The Right Way to Play' and I could not be more blessed to be their coach."

The Lady Eagles posted a 3.53 GPA as a team during the 2025-26 school year to win the award.
