Eagles Take Down Eutectics

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Williams men's basketball team defeated the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St. Louis 73-60 on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles had a 33-24 lead going into halftime. They maintained their lead through the first part of the second half, but the Eutectics went on a run and took a 55-47 lead with 8:42 left in the game. The Eagles responded with a few free-throws, a layup from Duke Hardin, and then three free-throws from Hardin gave Williams the lead back. The Eagles held on to their lead and went on to win by 13. 

Hardin led the Eagles with 19 points, while DJ Townsend had 16. 

TJ Clardy led the team with 12 boards, while Isaiah Thompson had nine. 

The Eagles shot 43.8% from the field (28-64), 22% from the three-point line (4-18), and 59% from the free-throw line (13-22).

The Eagles have a couple of exhibition games this week. They travel to Henderson State on Tuesday, Nov. 22 and then to Univ. of Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday, Nov. 26.
