Eagles Make History With AMC Awards

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced the 2022 AMC Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams, season award winners, Academic All-Conference Team and the AMC Men's Soccer Champions of Character Team.

Lucas Camilo was named AMC Player of the Year and is the first Eagle to win the award. He controlled the game and dictated its pace for the NAIA's top defensive team that posted an NAIA-best 0.20 goals against average, allowing only three goal in 15 matches. 

Tiago Alfieri was named Co-Newcomer of the Year, sharing the award with Hubert Kopany of Harris-Stowe.

Gabriel Sitibaldi was named AMC Coach of the Year for the first-time in his career and is also the first Eagles' coach to win the award. He has led the Eagles to an unbeaten record during the regular season. 

Several Eagles were named to the First-Team All-Conference list: goalkeeper Alejandro Perez, defender Thiago Nascimento, forwards Gabriel Otero and Jacobo Obradors, and midfielders Hugo Gil and Camilo. 

Alfonso Madrigal was named to the Champions of Character Team. 

15 Eagles were named to the Academic All-Conference Team: Adam Hernandez, Adrian Briceno, Alan Vilas Boas, Alejandro Perez, Alfonso Madrigal, Andre Akabane, Fernando Paya, Gabriel di Mauro, Gabriel Otero, Gabrielle Giommi, Jacobo Obradors, Jesus Mendoza, Lucas Camilo, Manuel Villena, and Ricardo Pinto.
