Eagles Dominate Patriots on Senior Day

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (10/28/25) – Five different Eagles found the back of the net as the Williams Baptist University men's soccer team defeated Mission by the final score of 5-0 on Senior Day Tuesday afternoon. 

Williams dominated possession throughout the match.  As a unit, WBU outshot the Patriots 33-6, with 18 shots on goal.  

Henrico Zena opened up the scoring frenzy in the third minute.  Drew Jerrett added on with a penalty kick score in the 5th, then Hugo Farrona netted his goal in the 11th to put WBU up three.  Bruno Silveira found the final goal of the half in the 30th minute to send Williams into the locker room up 4-0.

Alvaro Moran scored the lone goal of the second half with an assist from Jhevan Smith in the 68th minute.  

John Smith earned the shutout in goal for WBU, making two saves in 90 minutes between the sticks.  

Before the match, 15 seniors were recognized for their contributions to the WBU Soccer Field. Lucas Mahlow, Pedro Paulo, Carlos Aedo, Drew Jerrett, Javier Palomo, Mateus Ribeiro, Ricardo Da Silva, Matheus Farias, Henrico Zena, Harry Lee, Declan Hay, Dawson Sawyer, Christian Delgado, Artur Kataoka, Ignacio Velasquez and Kyeron Daws were all recognized in a pre-match ceremony. 

The win moves WBU to 6-7-2 overall and 4-1-0 in AMC play. The Eagles will close out the 2025 regular season on the road against UHSP on Saturday, Nov. 1. Kick-off against the Eutectics is set for 1:30 p.m.
