LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- The Williams volleyball team went 1-1 on the second day of the Philander Smith Classic, first defeating Harris-Stowe in a non-conference game and then falling to Jarvis Christian College.
The Lady Eagles defeated Harris-Stowe in five sets in the first game of the day (25-16, 25-23, 12-25, 22-25, 16-14). Molly Henson led the team with 16 kills, while Marissa Spakes was also in double-figures with 10. Laykin Harkcom led the team with 36 assists. Henson and Faith Raymond led the team with 9 digs each.
In the second game of the day, the Lady Eagles again went to five-sets but fell to Jarvis Christian College (25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 11-15). Henson again led the squad with 23 kills, and Harkcom had 37 assists. Faith Raymond had 11 digs to lead the team.
