WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams volleyball team fell in five-sets to the Philander Smith Panthers on Thursday night.
The Lady Eagles played the Panthers close in the first set and lost by two, 25-23. They rebounded to take the second set, 25-20. Philander rallied and took the third set 25-21. The Lady Eagles were facing a 18-14 deficit in the fourth set, but rallied to win the set 25-22. However, they couldn't carry the momentum over into the fifth set, as they lost 15-5.
Molly Henson led the team with 18 kills, while Marissa Spakes had 11. Sydney Burgin had 25 assists to lead the Lady Eagles, while Laykin Harkcom had 13. Hope Raymond led the team with 28 digs, while Faith Raymond had 21.
