WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (9/13/25) – The Williams Baptist University men's soccer team fell to (RV) John Brown by the final score of 4-1 at home on Saturday afternoon.
As a team, JBU out-shot Williams 17-13. Williams landed five of their shots on target.
All four Golden Eagles goals came in the first 10 minutes of the match. Atim Roper scored unassisted in the 5th for the first score of the game, then Steven Cisneros and Roper both scored in the 8th minute to go up 3-0.
Amaury Jarry scored in the 11th minute to cap off the scoring stretch for John Brown, putting the Golden Eagles up 4-0 in the early going.
The only score from WBU came on a penalty kick from Ricardo Da Silva, his second penalty score of the season.
WBU put three shots on goal in the second half, but all were saved and the Eagles were unable to mount a comeback.
The loss drops the Eagles to 2-3-1 on the season. Next, Williams will travel to face No. 24 Oklahoma City on Saturday, Sep. 20. Kick-off is set for 2 p.m. in Oklahoma City, Okla.
