SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Williams women's basketball team fell on the road to the Baptist Bible College Patriots 71-65 on Tuesday night.
Both teams came out of the gate ready to go and it was all tied at 25 after one quarter. The Lady Eagles outscored the Patriots 19-12 in the second quarter to take a seven point lead into halftime. The Patriots responded in the third quarter and outscored the Lady Eagles 18-12 to cut Williams' lead down to one. The fourth quarter was cold for the Lady Eagles as they only scored nine points.
Abby Hodges led the team with 18 points. Carson Defries supplied 12 points off the bench, while Nijah Moore had 10 of her own.
Monica Horne led the Lady Eagles on the boards with seven.
The Lady Eagles shot 41.7% from the field (25-60), 35.7% from the three-point line (5-14), and 58.8% from the free-throw line (10-17).
