WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams women's basketball team blew past the Harris-Stowe State Hornets 80-53 on Thursday night.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 21-11 lead in the first quarter and kept pushing from there for a 39-26 lead at halftime. They outscored the Hornets 21-15 and 20-12 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
Williams shot 51.4% from the field (36-70), 12.5% from the three-point line (1-8), and 53.8% from the free-throw line (7-13).
Kaylee Clark led all scorers with 25 points. Tristan Richards had 14 points, Nijah Moore had 13, and Abby Hodges had 10.
Monica Horne led the team with 12 rebounds, while Clark had nine.
Hodges had seven assists, while Clark and Reesa Hampton had 5.
