WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - The Williams women's basketball team defeated AMC newcomers Cottey College 70-53 on Thursday night.
It was a fairly even game for the first two quarters, as the Lady Eagles carried only a two-point lead into halftime. Williams came out hot in the third quarter and outscored the Comets 26-15, en route to a 17 point win.
Kaylee Clark led all scorers with 24 points. Tristan Richards was also in double figures with 17 points.
Richards and Italei Gray led the team on the boards with 6 each.
Reesa Hampton finished with eight assists in the game.

The Lady Eagles travel to Conway on Saturday, Jan. 7 for a matchup against Central Baptist College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
